Tragic Collision Between Sedan and Haulage Truck Causes Traffic Congestion on Wassa-Asikuma-Akropong Highway
One person has been confirmed dead, with two others injured and in critical condition following a vehicular accident on the outskirts of Wassa Akropong on Thursday evening.
The accident occurred around 5 pm along the Wassa-Asikuma-Akropong highway.
According to eyewitnesses, a sedan Toyota Corolla with registration number WT 616-21 was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided head-on with a bauxite haulage truck, which had registration number GN 4940-22.
The driver of the Corolla faced a difficult situation, making it impossible to avoid the collision, resulting in the tragic incident.
The impact of the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles, leading to traffic congestion in the area.
Promptly, personnel from the police Motor Traffic Department arrived at the scene to clear the road and ease the congestion.
