Acclaimed musician OJ Blaq is reportedly dead.
The Ghanaian rapper who is biologically called Andy Nii Akrashie died on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the age of 40.
The cause of death has not been released but he is known to be battling with kidney disease for a while now.
In 2021, the late rapper was diagnosed with kidney disease. He underwent dialysis treatment and was awaiting a kidney transplant.
Blaq was born in Accra, Ghana, in 1983. He began his musical career in the early 2000s and quickly became one of the most popular and respected musicians in the country.
