GES Accountant Killed In Tragic Accident

A horrifying accident on the busy Kumasi-Accra highway at Konongo has resulted in the tragic loss of two lives.

The victims have been identified as Osei Bonsu Kingsley Dafour, the Ashanti Regional Accountant of the Ghana Education Service (GES), and his driver, Richard Opuni.

According to Mr. Henry Osei Boateng, the Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer of GES, the accident occurred when their vehicle was hit twice by heavy-duty vehicles.

"The police told us that they were traveling from Kumasi, and there was another vehicle coming from Accra attempting to overtake. This led to the collision, and at that very spot, another cargo vehicle from Konongo crashed into their car," Mr. Boateng explained.

The impact of the multiple collisions was devastating, leaving the two occupants of the car fatally injured.

They were rushed to the Konogo government hospital, but tragically, they were pronounced dead on arrival.

As of now, there are no detailed reports about the victims from the other vehicles involved in the accident.

Mr. Boateng emphasized that the focus of the GES office is currently on mourning the loss of their esteemed colleague and the driver.

The news of this accident has sent shockwaves through the education community in the region.
