Shatta Wale accepted Sarkodie's challenge for a boxing bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena less than 24 hours later, with the proviso of a $2 million winning reward.
In a recent trip to the Arena to see some boxing bouts staged by Max Boxing Promotions, Sarkodie invited the dancehall artist to a fight, as shown in a new video.
The 'Non-Living Thing' rapper stated his enthusiasm to be present and pledged to return to see more fights in the future when asked to comment on what he has seen so far.
His challenge to Shatta Wale, though, was what really got people's attention.
The "Dancehall King," whose attention was drawn to the rival's request by a fan on Twitter, said he was more than willing to battle and prove himself the better fighter.
"The way ago beat am erh !!! He go tink say me I born am 🤣," he responded
Shatta Wale has set one important requirement for this boxing battle, though: the winning reward must be a mind-blowing $2 million.
"I Am down but make them put $ 2 million as winning price… If they make ready with the money make them call me !!," he added.
Fans and critics alike have been quite interested in and divided over Shatta Wale's challenge, with some praising him and others questioning whether he is sincere about it.
A famous person has already fought in the ring of boxing. There have been several instances of well-publicized boxing contests involving celebrities in recent years, including the well-known contest between the YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI.
If the two musicians do enter the ring together, it will be intriguing to see how this drama progresses.
