Suspected Thief Shocked To Death With A Taser At West Hills Mall After Swallowing An Object During Police Pursuit

A suspected criminal died unexpectedly after swallowing an unknown item while being chased by a police officer at West Hills Mall in Weija.

According to the Weija police, the deceased Shadrack Allu, 33, was carrying a backpack and was with one other person.

Sergeant Daniel Abeiku was curious about what was in the bag, but the deceased, who was attempting to flee, immediately grabbed something wrapped in black polythene and swallowed it.

The cops were about to handcuff him, when suspect Boafo Osei Kwame, who works at the mall, rushed to the scene with his personal Taser to shock him, who went unconscious.

Shadrack Allu, the deceased, was hurried to Sonoteck Hospital, which is also located at West Hill Mall, for treatment, but the Doctor on duty pronounced him dead on arrival.

An official complaint was filed with the Weija Police, who went to the hospital with the complainant and saw the victim dead on a stretcher in front of the hospital.

The deceased was thoroughly examined, but no physical signs of assault were discovered.

Suspect Boafo Osei Kwame was apprehended together with the exhibit Taser and detained for further investigation.
