Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah And Other Celebrities Reacts To Christian Atsu's Earthquake Report

Asamoah Gyan leads prayers for Ghana winger Christian Atsu, who is now missing after an earthquake in Turkey.

Atsu, a Hatayspor player, is said to be among thousands of casualties buried beneath rubble after a massive earthquake struck Turkey in the early hours of Monday.

After learning of the claims, the former Black Stars captain tweeted a photo of Christian Atsu with prayer emojis.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also wished Christian Atsu luck in surviving the accident, which has also put Atsu's club director Taner Savut's life in danger.

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah responded to the devastating news by praying for Turkey.

Malaga, Atsu's old club, has expressed worry while wishing him well and waiting for information on his safety.

Two of Atsu's teammates, Burak ksüz and Bertu Yldrm, have been rescued, according to sources.

The rescue team has encouraged all concerned parties to do everything possible to save the victims' lives.

Hatayspor defeated Kasmpaşa S.K. on Sunday thanks to a free-kick from Atsu in the 97th minute.

According to official statistics, about 1,300 people were killed and 6,000 more were injured in the accident.

A magnitude 7.5 aftershock struck Turkey's south hours after the main quake, leading it to be felt again in Syria and Iraqi Kurdistan.
