A former National Service personnel of First Atlantic Bank in Accra has filed a lawsuit against one of the bank's managers, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, for allegedly failing to keep promises made in their claimed intimate relationship.

Deborah Seyram Adablah has sued a Director of Finance, Mr Kwasi Nimako, and he is set to appear before Friday, January 27.

The complaint has also been joined by the First Atlantic Bank.

According to the writ of summons, the plaintiff, whose national service time ended in July 2021, admits to being in a relationship with the married Ernest Kwasi Nimako because her happiness at work was threatened if she did not give in to the relationship.

She goes on to say that she declined a permanent position following her National Service because the boss promised to make her life easier by paying her rent, giving business capital, getting her a new car, and even divorcing his substantive wife for her, among other things.

However, it was noted in the writ that the manager worked well to fulfil parts of his responsibilities until their relationship became complex.

She is now requesting that the other promises be fulfilled, including payment of the remaining two-year rent and transfer of ownership of the car he purchased for her as part of the pledges.

The complaint was joined by the First Atlantic Bank, which has been accused of permitting top employees to get into relationships with unwilling subordinates while using the girls as bait to attract consumers for the corporation.

Meanwhile, the Bank's management is holding a crisis meeting to discuss the situation.
