In January 2023, the annual New Year Comedy Night will kick off the event calendar.
The event will return in the new year with even funnier and more rib-cracking jokes.
The date has been set for January 2, 2023, at the La Palm Royal Hotel.
DKB, the event's headliner, delivered a message to Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku ahead of the show.
When it comes to the Ghana Black Stars and their World Cup campaign, the comic doesn't hold back. DKB claims that he is willing to go to court because on January 2nd, he will roast the GFA President, despite the warning that individuals who insult the GFA and The Black Stars would face prosecution.
"We will roast him [Kurt Okraku] come Monday, January 2 2023 at the New Year Comedy Night event. On the night we [Comedians] will dive into all that happened in 2022 which fortunately Kurt Okraku and the Black Stars actively participated in." He said.
"Yes I am aware of the letter that was published by the GFA, but it wouldn’t intimidate us into cowering and not speaking about GFA and The Black Stars. We are ready to go to court because we will roast Him [Kurt Okraku]." He added.
OB Amponsah, Lekzy DeComic, Foster Romanus, Jeneral Ntatia, Parrot Mouth, Putogo, and MjTheComedian will all perform, with music from Sista Afia and Cina Soul. Kejetia Lawyer Nti will host the show.
