Dr Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, has advised Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, not to use his name as a topic of disputed prophecies.
The National Chief Imam is, therefore, calling on the Christian fraternity, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the National Security and, indeed, all relevant stakeholders to bring Rev Owusu Bempah to order "in the cause of national unity, peace and harmony".
This follows the self-proclaimed prophet's declaration that various leaders, including His Eminence Sheikh Sharubutu, had contacted him to look into their destiny.
Dr Mohammed Azindoo, Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam, dismissed accusations that Rev Owusu Bempah was recently in His Eminence's bedroom as false.
"We wish to state that all the claims of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah contain no iota of truth, but represent the figment of his own imagination," a press statement dated Wednesday, January 4, noted.
"Undoubtedly, His Eminence is a champion of interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence. But he does not seek protection and prosperity from charlatans on the pulpit."
The declaration advises the man of God not to commit such things.
On December 31st, Rev Owusu Bempah issued a series of prophecies, some of which affected national security.
"There’ll be civil wars in some African countries; BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera will report on them" – Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy.
"There shall be lots of marriages this year" – Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy.
This followed a warning from the Ghana Police Service to all churches regarding 31st Night prophecies.
