Second Lady Samira Bawumua has requested that Despite Media's Neat FM withdraw and apologise for the remarks made against her by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Communications.
On November 7, 2022, Sammy Gyamfi is known to have said that Samira Bawumia, the second lady, travels with a cosmetic kit and a makeup artist who brought in a new Landcruiser.
He said "…there is another person; Samira Bawumia, do you know her convoy includes a brand new Landcruiser carrying makeup; makeup artiste; it follows her everywhere. Who is paying for that, The Taxpayer?"
But in response to Sammy Gyamfi's outrageous claims, Samira Bawumia said they were untrue and were intended to paint her as wasteful, insensitive, and unreasonable in the eyes of Ghanaians.
She has requested that the Despite Group remove its statements and provide an apology for enabling incorrect information about her to be spread on their platform through the help of her attorneys.
