Physically Challenged Man Reveals His Dream Of Becoming The President Of Ghana One Day

Mohammed Issaka

Mohammed Issaka, also known as Amazing Boy, is a twenty-eight-year-old man without fingers who has underlined his desire to become Ghana's president in the near future despite all the challenges he is facing.

Mohammed Issaka suffered burns when he was just three years old, which caused him to develop physical disabilities.

Mohammed, who had a portion of his hand amputated, does not consider himself to be disabled.

Speaking in an interview with AMBASSADOR TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mohammed Issaka explained that "though I don’t have fingers I don’t see my disability as a person because despite my condition, I can do what anyone can do without a help."

According to him, "my ability to operate a mobile phone and other electronic gadgets in my situation is enough proof that I can actualize my dreams of ascending to the highest political throne of the country"

"I have this belief that when a person with disability becomes a President of Ghana or holds any other top position in Ghana, it will motivate other persons with disabilities not to give up on their dreams" Mohammed explained.

"Initially I was disturbed about my situation because things were difficult for me but ever since I started doing things on my own, I have become perfect that I don’t see myself as a person with disability.

"My situation doesn’t make me sad because I always motivate and entertain myself. I’m always happy and I believe with determination, hard work and prayers, I can achieve all my dreams with my situation.

"Ghanaians should try and accept Persons With Disabilities because if they can motivate us they shouldn’t discourage us.

"Sometimes the treatment from some Ghanaians towards persons with disabilities is very bad which need to be condemned" he added.

People with disabilities (PWDs) in Ghana have demonstrated throughout the years that a disability does not equate to incapacity by entering professions and positions that were previously thought to be out of reach.

President John Mahama appointed Dr. Henry Seidu Danaa, a person with vision impairment, to the position of minister of state in 2013.
