The Bible Society of Ghana has informed the general public that they would be raising the pricing for the Bibles they sell.
In response to high import duties and inflation, the notice stated that a slight increase would become effective on November 10, 2022.
"Due to the high rate of inflation and high cost of clearing [goods] from the ports, our prices of Bibles would be slightly reviewed upwards, effective 10th November 2022. God bless you for your understanding," the notice said.
The principal distributor of Bibles in Ghana is the Bible Society of Ghana, whose primary goal is to make the word of God accessible and inexpensive.
They are renowned for selling at extremely low costs and seldom raising their pricing.
Due to the present economic crisis, many people can no longer buy items that were formerly within their means.
