Job Description
Our multinational client who deals in automotive products and provides transport solutions to its customers requires an experienced Workshop Service Manager to join their team in Takoradi. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for proactively developing and managing the workshop business and operations in order to maximize customer and employee satisfaction and enhancing business performance contributing to the profitable growth of the company.
Responsibilities includes;
- Manage and plan the daily operations of the workshop, working with and acting on deviations.
- Ensure efficient flow of authorized work in the workshop, ensuring quality and documentation.
- Develop, implement and monitor standards and routines and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the workshop.
- Coordinate the spare parts activity to ensure parts availability, ensure service exchange and warranty parts procedures are adhered to.
- Monitor the ongoing condition of workshop tools and equipment, arranging purchase, repair and calibration.
- Manage the workshop facilities and create working time schedules for work shifts.
- Enable a team-based approach ensuring open and effective communication within the workshop to achieve common business objectives.
- Build and maintain the right level of relationships with customer representatives.
- Assist workshop personnel and customers regarding technical issues.
- Participate in meetings with key customers when required and follow up service business.
- Market and communicate company’s services solutions to existing and potential customers.
- Coordinate and follow up of the Services Salesman activities if required by the reporting line
- Proactively initiate improvement activities, ensuring conditions are in place to achieve workshop goals.Ensure efficient flow of authorized work in the workshop, ensuring quality and documentation.
Requirements
- Must have at least a High School education.
- Must have at least six (6) years of working experience from a similar or same role with four (4) years in managerial role.
- Must have strong sales background.
- Relevant work experience in the automotive industry and heavy vehicle license are added advantages.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Pays attention to detail, team player, innovative and a creative thinker.
- Excellent organizational, time management, presentation, managerial and leadership skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates the effort, willingness and ambition to achieving results.
- Willingness to relocate to Takoradi.
