Davas News has learned that Empire Distribution and Kuami Eugene have agreed to a distribution contract.
This agreement is thought to be similar to KiDi's distribution agreement as both artists continue to be managed by Lynx Entertainment.
In a Twitter post over the previous weeks, Kuami Eugene has sparked speculation regarding his departure from Lynx.
Many rumours that the musician was quitting his record company spread when A Plus claimed to have confirmation from a reliable source. He would not, however, reveal his source.
Richie Mensah, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, who had previously declined to comment, advised Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 927 to reject these rumours.
Richie Mensah urged the media to highlight the good, such as the innovative shows and global tours of his signees, KiDi and Kuami Eugene. He also made the argument that this "poor" Publicity will eventually harm the industry. He proceeded by saying that everything that occurs in his business is always made public. There was no need to leap the broom as a result.
“I think as media and industry professionals, we need to guard the industry. The people in Australia, waiting for Kuami Eugene to come and play a show there, will google and not see how good the show is. They will rather be reading this (exit rumours),” Richie continued. “We need to dismiss certain things. That Kuami Eugene is going to leave Lynx. If he leaves Lynx, everyone will know.”
KiDi's publishing contract with Empire And MadeinENY was successfully revealed by Lynx Entertainment on January 28, 2021.
Empire Distribution is a record label and distribution firm based in the United States that focuses mostly on hip-hop music. Currently, they stand in for Black Sherif, KiDi, Yaw Tog, and Kuami Eugene.
