There are reports of gunfire and physical abuse by a police officer near the Kaneshie Bishop neighbourhood.
Following Sunday's church session, the three victims claimed they were on their route to acquire "waakye" when the event occurred.
According to Kofi (not his actual name), Kyei Peprah, who was on a motorcycle, became agitated as they crossed to the other side of the street.
He said that after they questioned him about why he was calling them names for crossing the street, "it developed into a terrifying scenario where a pistol was discharged" and "I was severely slapped."
The victim and witnesses claim that the incident has traumatized them.
Kofi claimed that he is still baffled by the events that led to him receiving a slap and coming dangerously close to getting shot in the leg.
In an interview with the host of the AM Show on JoyNews, a friend of the victim, who had been standing directly by his side, described how things went down.
He described how the policeman shot his companion once in the thigh and then slapped him.
Another witness expressed amazement at Kyei Peprah's careless behaviour.
Both the victim and the witnesses said they were traumatized by the event.
Kofi said that the Police Professional Standards Bureau called him after the event was covered on Joy News.
He was requested to visit the shooting location so that more research could be done there.
After gathering information from the site, the police squad, which was being led by ACP Cuthbert, informed him that they would take up the matter.
