Mr Francis Kofi Okesu, a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), was found dead in a hotel room at Kumasi on Sunday, September 4, 2022, after checking in at the hotel over the weekend.
According to the police report, the body of the Krachi East MCE in the Oti Region was chanced upon in the hotel room naked, his face looking up and his left arm flaccid beside the bed.
The police report further shows that the late MCE checked into the hotel late on Friday, September 2, accompanied by his driver, Mr Sylvester Attah, who later left him to stay in a different hotel.
Mr Kofi Okesu reportedly went silent after checking into the hotel on Friday, and efforts to reach him were unsuccessful.
However, upon forced entry into his hotel by the police lies his lifeless body after the manager of the hotel had informed the police.
The body was then sent to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy to ascertain what happened in the last minutes of the late MCE’s life before his untimely death.
