Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) beneficiaries claim they would protest at Jubilee House to collect allowances owed to them under the recently concluded program.
September 20 is the scheduled day for the protest.
In a statement, the Ghanaian NABCO Trainees Association voiced worry about the government's failure to pay their allowances in spite of past complaints.
"The same problem persists after exhausting all available options, including the recently held picketing and the time frame allocated to the government to pay our debts. It is evident that the government does not care about our wellbeing, according to several passages in the statement.
They came to the conclusion that the government doesn't care about their situation.
"The level of insensitivity that the present government has displayed is beyond unacceptable. The announcement concluded, "Trainees are to take notice of this new development and keep an eye out for further information leading to the exercise on our different platforms.
On Tuesday, September 6, the Coalition of NABCO Trainees staged a demonstration to demand payment of their allowances.
The recipients claim that the prolongation was primarily responsible for the allowances not being paid.
Wednesday, August 31, marked the formal conclusion of the NABCO program. The initiative, which had been initially planned to last for three years, was extended in 2021.
