Man Fined GH5,000 For Attempting To Kill Kade Chief

A GH5,000 fine has been imposed on the 42-year-old man who attempted to shoot the Chief of Akyem Kade, Osabarima Agyare Tinadu, on the second attempt.

He had already appeared on Tuesday before the Kade Circuit Court.

The police detained the culprit, Osei Forson Kwadwo after he opened fire at a burial ground last Saturday to eject the chief and his entourage.

Seth Antwi Bosiako, the municipal chief executive for Kwaebirim, has been discussing the problem with Citi News.

"He was brought before the court and given a charge and fine for shooting his rifle carelessly. The security team detained him for yet another offence. The chief himself has made accusations against him, but no charges have been brought against him as of yet. The inquiry into the chief's criminal allegation is still ongoing.

There are rumours that the suspect may have been paid to assassinate the chief because of a drawn-out chieftaincy dispute.
