Currently, the three suspects are supporting the investigation.
The corpse of the dead, named Regina Sarfo, was discovered abandoned in a bush near Ahenbrom, a Konongo neighborhood, on September 8, 2022, according to a statement released by the police on Friday (9 September).
After a forensic inspection by crime scene specialists, the corpse was sent to the mortuary at Stewards Hospital for preservation and an autopsy.
According to the police, the family has met with the Ashanti Regional Command, and the Inspector-General of Police has also commiserated with them via phone and given them assurances that they would have the appropriate police support.
While the inquiry is ongoing, "police clinical psychologists are also providing psychosocial support to the family," the statement continued.
