It has emerged that the Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central and Board Chairman for Ghana Gas, Kennedy Agyapong was invited to the Yam Festival by the Asogli state.
In a letter in the possession of MyNewsGh.com dated July 25, 2022, the Planning Committee called on the Board Chairman of Ghana Gas to join in this year’s celebration.
They acknowledged that Kennedy Agyapong has a busy schedule but should make time to join the celebration which is under the theme “Let’s Eschew Greed, Unite for Peace, Development and Prosperity”.
However, it is shocking that on the day of the festival, reports on various news outlets indicated that gifts brought by Kennedy Agyapong were rejected by Togbe Afede.
The reports said the Chief refused to meet Kennedy Agyapong and was blocked by subchiefs who claim he always disrespects their chief in the media.
In Videos seen on social media, some persons were hooting “away” while others kept saying you can’t disrespect our chief and bring us gifts for us to forget.
However, there were no reports that suggested that the Assin Central Member of Parliament was walked out.
