A young man had been imprisoned for stealing from a Policeman's backyard garden.
The Cape Coast man who goes by the name Mensah Moses has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for stealing plantain that belongs to a policeman.
Mensah narrating how it all happened to Crime Check Foundation reveals that the policeman is his next house neighbour in Saltpond, Cape Coast so he thought it would not result in any problem.
Unfortunately for him, he was arrested and brought to justice one afternoon after he was done selling some plantain he stole from the policeman's backyard garden.
According to him, he wasn't getting a lot of jobs to do as a carpenter so life was very difficult for him at that time.
He depended on the plantains he harvest from the policeman's garden by selling and getting money to provide some of his needs.
When I sell the plantain I can get GHC 20 or GHC 50 cedis depending on the size of the plantain, he said.
