Martin Amidu has revealed how the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are using the fight against corruption to deceive Ghanaians.
The former Special Prosecutor of Ghana under President Akufo Addo's administration, Martin Amidu has iterated how the two major political parties in Ghana, NPP and NDC, have been using the fight against corruption and greed to lure Ghanaians to vote for them to power.
He made this statement in his latest anti-corruption epistle.
According to Mr Amidu, these parties after deceiving Ghanaians with the fight against corruption and greed ends up engaging in greed and corruption.
Martin Amidu said the deception from these politicians keeps repeating themselves in every election year and they are looking forward to repeating the same thing in the 2024 election.
He, therefore, urged Ghanaians not to sit back and allow the situation to continue but act by sacrificing to defend the 1992 Constitution of the country.
It happened at the 2000 elections; it happened at the 2008 elections; it happened again at the 2016 elections; and they look forward to conning "We the People" again at the 2024 elections. This is, therefore, the time for all patriotic Ghanaians to wake up and with open eyes, cease to be like Thomas whose eyes could not see at this crucial moment of our dear nation's history that requires each of us to sacrifice to defend the 1992 Constitution and put Ghana First, he said
