Tiwa Savage, the famous Nigerian singer has said that she will no longer confide in her mother.
Prior to the talented artiste's performance at King Charles III's coronation, the singer admitted that she had notified her mother about the invitation and asked her to keep it a secret.
However, her mother betrayed the relationship and informed her brother a mere 20 minutes later.
This was said by the singer of "Coroba" in an interview with MTV UK.
She remarked, "At first, I didn't inform many people that I would be singing at the King's coronation after I got the call. Eventually, I told my mother, and as usual, I begged her not to tell anyone.
"Then, a few of minutes later, my brother calls and says, 'Oh my goodness!' And I say, "Mom, wow!" I won't be disclosing anything to my mother again.
Tiwa Savage admitted that she wasn't immediately aware of how significant it was for her to perform at the King's coronation.
"At first, I didn't realize how significant it was to perform at the King's coronation. Additionally, I had no idea who else would be performing.
Therefore, I was unaware that I would be the lone Commonwealth representative. I was therefore astounded when I started receiving such information. There is no need to rush. But it was fantastic.
"Like I said, I was looking back at the performance to represent the Commonwealth. It was famous. It was an unforgettable event for me."
