Lookalikes Beg For Help, Complain That Hunger is Killing Them

Ghana Lookalikes

In an interview with renowned blogger and journalist Attractive Mustapha, the Ghana Artiste Look-Alike Association, comprised of prominent figures like King Promise, Medikal, Kuami Eugene, and Mr. Drew lookalikes, unveiled the stark realities they face as they attempt to move beyond their mimicry-based careers.

Despite gaining recognition through their striking resemblances to these celebrities, the lookalikes have encountered a series of hardships and financial struggles.

"Hunger is killing us," lamented the association, highlighting the challenges they've confronted while pursuing their artistic aspirations.

Contrary to popular belief, the lookalikes revealed that their earnings primarily consist of modest transportation allowances for their appearances at events.

Financial backing from anticipated investors has failed to materialize, leaving them with limited resources to support their dreams.

The lookalikes emphasized that their current status is merely a stepping stone toward their true artistic ambitions.

They are determined to transition from impersonating celebrities to becoming artists in their own right.

However, the journey has proven to be an arduous one, marked by financial constraints and a lack of substantial support.

While they have begun creating their own music, the association acknowledged the inherent challenges they face due to their initial claim to fame as lookalikes.

"We have our song out and we are planning to release an album, an EP, and single projects, so that’s where our focus is," they stated.

Nonetheless, their mimicry past continues to cast a shadow on their present endeavors.

Despite the hardships, the lookalikes remain hopeful and committed to their artistic evolution.

They expressed a strong desire for management and financial backing to facilitate their transition into the music industry.

According to them, with the right support, their journey could be made smoother and more fruitful, allowing them to shed their mimicry personas and establish their unique musical identities.
