Russian Missile Hits Ukrainian Medical Centre

Bombed Ukraine medical centre

A missile strike on a medical clinic in Dnipro, eastern Ukraine, killed at least one person and injured 15, including two children.

Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine's President, confirmed the incident and said officials were attempting to free others from the hospital.

He stated that the clean-up effort had engaged all required agencies.

Earlier, regional governor Serhiy Lysak stated that the city was attacked on Thursday night.

"It was a very difficult night. It was loud - the enemy launched a mass attack on the region with missiles and drones," Mr Lysak said. "Dnipro has suffered."

He then revealed that the two injured youngsters were boys aged three and six.

Mr Zelensky shared a video of the damaged clinic facility, which showed firefighters on the site and smoke rising from the structure.

"Russian terrorists once again confirm their status of fighters against everything humane and honest," he said.

Ukraine says it knocked down 17 missiles and 31 drones launched from Russia overnight.

Several drones and missiles struck sites in Dnipro and Kharkiv, including an oil facility.

Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, was also attacked, with officials reporting that shards of intercepted drones fell on the roof of a shopping centre, causing damage to a home and numerous automobiles.

In recent weeks, Russia has increased its airstrikes on Ukraine, focusing on key infrastructural sectors ahead of an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive.

Ukraine reportedly used a rocket and a drone to attack two districts in Russia's south on Thursday, but Russia says the missile was shot down by its air defence systems.

A bomb destroyed a residential and office building in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, but the source remains unknown. According to Russian media, it was a drone assault.
