This stadium was constructed with exactly 974 shipping containers hence the name Stadium 974. This innovative stadium is a 40,000-seat venue with a remarkable design. It is a temporal stadium built purposely for the upcoming FIFA World Cup and will be demounted after the tournament making it the first of its kind. In Qatar, this stadium can be seen on the shores of the Gulf, located across the water from Doha's dazzling West Bay skyline. After the tournament, the stadium will make way for a waterfront development for local people to enjoy. Stadium 974 has created an innovative blueprint that many others will follow.

Lusail Stadium is also one of the many ultra-modern stadiums that will be featured in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. This stadium is considered the biggest among the 8 stadiums selected for the tournament. It is an 80,000-seat capacity Stadium that will embody Qatar's ambition and its passion for sharing Arab culture with the world. The finals of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will be staged in this stadium, with billions around the globe watching on. The design of this magnificent stadium is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow that characterises the fanar lantern. Its shape and façade echo the intricate decorative motifs on bowls, vessels and other art pieces found across the Arab and Islamic world during the rise of civilisation in the region. Lusail Stadium is located 15km north of central Doha. Once the 2022 FIFA World Cup is over, Lusail Stadium will be transformed into a community space including schools, shops, cafés, sporting facilities and health clinics.

Education City Stadium was officially completed on 15th June 2020. It is a 40,000-seater capacity stadium. This stadium is surrounded by leading universities, where cutting-edge research is conducted After the 2022 FIFA World Cup is completed, the arena's capacity will be reduced by half and 20,000 seats will be donated to build stadiums in developing countries. This facility is situated strategically just 7km away from Doha's bustling city centre so that fans can reach the stadium easily by either road or metro. The stadium is surrounded by state-of-the-art amenities including football training pitches, a golf course and shops.
Al Janoub Stadium

Al Janoub Stadium is located in the southern city of Al Wakrah. The 40,000-capacity stadium was opened in May 2019 with the Amir Cup final. An extraordinary stadium for an adventurous city. The ultra-modern stadium has a school, a wedding hall, cycling, horse riding and running tracks, restaurants, marketplaces gyms and beautiful parkland. When the 2022 FIFA World Cup is completed, Al Janoub Stadium will become a new home for sport and entertainment in southern Qatar. Its 40,000 capacity will be reduced to 20,000 and the other 20,000 seats will be donated to football development projects overseas.

Another stadium which will host football matches in the upcoming Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup is Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium. This stadium is located in Al Rayyan, one of Qatar's most historic cities which sits close to Doha. This arena will host up to 40,000 fans from FIFA World Cup 2022 matches through to the quarter-final stage. Every part of the stadium district has been designed with sustainability in mind. Just like Al Janoub Stadium, 20,000 of the 40,000 seats will be removed and given to football development projects abroad after the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has come to a close.

In May 2017, Qatar celebrated the reopening of its most beloved stadium with a spectacular inauguration ceremony. Khalifa International Stadium is what I'm talking about. This historic stadium was originally built in 1976. It is located in Al Rayan and has been the cornerstone of the country's sporting tradition. The stadium is capable of accommodating 40,000 football fans. It is said to be at the centre of all the 8 ultra-modern venues to be used to play the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. Inside the stadium, all seating areas are protected from the elements by a canopy, with further climate control delivered by advanced cooling technologies. Attached to the stadium via a walkway is the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, adding to the appreciation of how this venue cherishes its past as it creates an exciting future.

Al Thumama Stadium was inaugurated on 22 October 2021. It is located 12km south of Doha's glittering skyline. This amazing stadium will host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches up to the quarter-finals. The arena has been designed to celebrate Arab culture and traditions. The stadium’s bold, circular form reflects the gahfiya – a traditional woven cap adorned by men and boys all across the Middle East for centuries. Al Thumama Stadium is a 40,000-seater capacity stadium but will be reduced to 20,000 after the tournament to meet local needs and provide quality sporting infrastructure to developing nations.
Al Bayt Stadium

Al Bayt Stadium is a 60,000-capacity arena that has a giant tent structure covering the entire stadium. It is located in the northern city of Al Khor. This is the stadium that will host the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and also matches will be played it through to the Semi-finals. The stadium takes its name from bayt al sha'ar – tents historically used by nomadic people in Qatar and the Gulf region. The stadium is located in Al Khor, just 35km north of Doha. One of the outstanding features of this stadium is its portability. After the tournament, the upper tier of modular design seating will be removed and given to developing nations that need sporting infrastructure.
