The families of the nine JHS students Saboba who lost their lives after drowning in a river on their way to their headmaster's rice farm have pleaded on the court to forgive their headmaster.

A few days ago, a tragic incident was recorded at Soboba in the Northern Region of Ghana.

The incident led to the death of nine students of St Charles Lwanga R/C Junior High School after the boat conveying 31 students to the rice farm of their headmaster capsizes into the river.

According to Accra-based Okay FM, the parents of the deceased children claims the 35-year-old headmaster who goes by the name Jashain Emmanuel did not intentionally take the children to the river to kill them.

The family revealed that this is not the first time a teacher from the community has organized his or her student to their farm to help them harvest their farm produce.

They also revealed that students in the community can sometimes organize themselves to go to the farm of the teachers so as to help them harvest their produce.

They are therefore leaving everything in the hands of God.

Jashain Emmanuel is expected to appear before the court on Monday, 29th November 2021.
